Regional Focus: Beaujolais

April 1 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Welcome to Regional Focus: Beaujolais. During this one hour class, we will review the strengths of the Beaujolais wine region and the versatility of the Crus. In addition to reviewing the winemaking styles within the region, we will also cover the wine restrictions of the appellation, touch on the history of the Beaujolais and Burgundy relationship, and, perhaps the best part, we will taste through a selection of wines from the major Beaujolais Crus.

This class is a solid building block for all interested in wine, regardless of appreciation level. To ensure all attendees are sufficiently challenged, there will be a short revision quiz at the end of the class reviewing key points covered during the presentation.

For fun, here is a short quiz on Beaujolais. Please note this is not a self-assessment quiz.

This class is taught by a Wine and Spirits Education Trust Level 4 Diploma candidate and French Wine Scholar Graduate with 14 years experience in the industry as a wine buyer and educator.

These classes are non-refundable. Missed classes may be transferred to the following class within the same Unit.
