Regional Focus: Champagne

March 12 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Welcome to Regional Focus: Champagne. During this one hour class, some of the mystery of Champagne will be unveiled as we lift the curtains to the key turning points in Champagne’s history. In addition to reviewing the winemaking styles within the region, we will also cover the wine restrictions of the appellation, touch on the more than 100 year long fight to trademark the Champagne name, and, perhaps the best part, we will taste through a selection of wines from the four major Champagne sub-regions.

This class is a solid building block for all interested in wine, regardless of appreciation level. To ensure all attendees are sufficiently challenged, there will be a short revision quiz at the end of the class reviewing key points covered during the presentation.

For fun, here is a short quiz on Champagne. Please note this is not a self-assessment quiz.

This class is taught by a Wine and Spirits Education Trust Level 4 Diploma candidate and French Wine Scholar Graduate with 14 years experience in the industry as a wine buyer and educator.

These classes are non-refundable. Missed classes may be transferred to the following class within the same Unit.
