Winery: “Viña Perez Cruz was founded by Mrs. Mariana Cruz-Costa and her 11 sons and daughters in memory of Mr. Pablo Perez-Zañartu, who in 1963 acquired the Liguai de Huelquén Estate, located approximately 28 miles southeast of Santiago, Chile. In 1994, red grape varieties were planted, and in 2001, a state-of-the-art winery was built. The first Viña Perez Cruz wines were made in 2002.Our wines faithfully reflect the unique features of Maipo Andes: a combination of alluvial parcels; stony, high permeability and drainage due to the presence of gravel in the subsoil. The first 30 to 60 cm of soil textures present from loam to sandy clay, with a slightly alkaline pH.”
